August 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at A.C. Bowers Field, Dixon, IL
Kreider Alliance and the Lee County Council on Aging are bringing back Drum Corp International Open Class Corps (DCI) for Petunia City Brass, an evening of music on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at the Dixon High School A.C. Bowers Field.
This is a fundraiser for both non-profit agencies.
Dixon has a rich history of drum and bugle corps shows, dating back to the late 60’s when they were a feature of the Dixon Petunia Festival. The inaugural Petunia City Brass event was a success last year. All organizing parties; DCI, Kreider Alliance, and LCCOA feel that this event can become an annual event for music lovers in Northern Illinois.
Both organizations, which are local 501(c)3 organizations see this as an opportunity to bring a great quality drum and bugle corps show to Dixon, building on the success of last year. This can be a “win-win” event for Dixon, LCCOA and Kreider Alliance.

In order to produce a successful DCI Tour Event, there is a need to have local businesses come on board to sponsor the event.
